DAPI identified all cells (A), antihuman vitronectin receptor αVβ3 identified osteoclasts (B), antiosteocalcin identified osteoblasts (C), and overlaying all three identified any costaining (D). Osteoclasts reside along the trabecular bone and the endosteal cortices (representative areas denoted by *), predominantly so in the case of saline-infused femora.
