HA-interactive scaffolds accumulate more cartilage matrix components at 6 weeks. Safranin O staining of HA-interactive scaffolds and PEG scaffolds across 6 weeks demonstrates increased GAG deposition in HA-interactive scaffolds. Staining is highest for low HA loadings.
