Anti-inflammatory effect of Aloe littoralis in carrageenan-induced paw edema. Vehicle, ALRMG (2.5 and 5 ml/kg) and indomethacin (10 mg/kg) were injected i.p. 30 min prior to subplantar injection of carrageenan into the right hind paw of rats. Paw volume was measured before and 4 h after carrageenan by a mercury plethysmograph and percent increase in paw volume was calculated and used as an index of inflammation.
