A) EGF treatment leads to loss of cell-cell contacts. A431 cells were grown in normoxia (Nx), normoxia+EGF (Nx+E) or normoxia+EGF+Cetuximab (Nx+E+D). The cells were fixed, permeabilized and probed with anti-E-cadherin followed by labeled secondary antibodies. The actin cytoskeleton was visualized using Alexa568-Phalloidin. B) Cetuximab blocked the EGF induced alteration of vimentin and E-cadherin expression. Cell lysate from A431 cells grown as in panel A were analyzed by immunoblotting with anti-vimentin, anti-E-cadherin or anti-GAPDH primary antibody.
