A 28-year-old tennis player presenting with calf pain, clinically diagnosed as a grade 1 injury. Axial FS T2-w TSE images demonstrate areas of hyperintensity with feathery appearance, consistent with a strain of the soleus muscle (SO, arrowhead) and also a strain of the medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle with intramuscular oedema (GM, thick arrow).
