The overall survival rate of 110 lung cancer patients from Nagoya City University, with follow-up until August 31 2011, was studied in reference to the ANGPTL2 gene status. The survival rate of the patients with a T/N ratio of ANGPTL2/β-actin mRNA level>1 (n=39, 7 had succumbed; ●) and patients with a T/N ratio of ANGPTL2/β-actin mRNA level <1 (n=71, 13 had succumbed; ○) was not significantly different (log-rank test, P=0.7944).
