Human bronchial epithelial cells (HBE) were treated with 5% cigarette smoke extract (CSE) or 2 µM cadmium (Cd) for 24 hours. Total RNA was isolated and expression of mature miR-101, miR-144, and miR-145 was measured by quantitative RT-PCR. Data are representative of at least three independent experiments. *p<0.05.
