X-ray diffraction patterns of as-prepared ((a) L-TiO₂-as and (b) R-TiO₂-as) and calcined ((c) L-TiO₂-cal and (d) R-TiO₂-cal) chiral TiO₂ fibres, which indicate that the as-prepared samples were amorphous. The TiO₂ obtained after calcination at 550 °C was assigned as the anatase phase, and there was no indication of other crystalline by-products.
