a

Three models were run using multilevel logistic regression: Model 1 examined in-degree (from friend nominations) as the independent variable (IV) of interest; Model 2 examined the five different network status categories from friend nominations as the IV of interest; and Model 3 examined the five network status categories from most liked nominations as the IV of interest.

b

The covariates were included in all three models, however, they did not differ between models and are therefore only reported under the first model for table readability.
