Phosphorylation of CPI-17 and contraction were measured at a freezing point 30 s after PE stimulation in both artery types. To calculate the CPI-17 concentration in smooth muscle cells, the protein content of a mammalian cell was assumed to be 18% of the total cell weight (Dimopoulos et al. 2007).
