OPN1SW and orthologs compared near T190. T190 is the boxed residue. Dots indicate where orthologous sequences are identical to human. The paralogs are OPN1LW, OPN1MW, RHO, OPN3, OPN4. The corresponding positions in OPN1LW, OPN1MW, RHO (all human sequences) are conserved as hydroxyl bearing amino acids (Serine for RHO, OPN1LW, and OPN1MW).
