Cell Biology students do not transfer knowledge about chromosome structure to concepts involving genetic information. The IMCA (Shi et al., 2010) was administered to 68 students near the completion of the Cell Biology course. The percentage of students who correctly answered questions 19 and 20 (top bar and bottom bar, respectively) are shown.
