Islet transplantation under the kidney capsule. (a) Mouse kidney with PE50 tubing containing 70 syngeneic islets in HBSS-BSA solution. (b) Islets are expelled from the tubing and deposited under the capsule with no islets remaining adherent inside the tubing.
