Comparison of sternum metastases between breast and prostate carcinomas. The results show that with an increase in the number of metastatic bone lesions, the proportion of metastatic sternum lesions of breast carcinoma markedly decreased (χ2=31.2, P=0.000), but that of prostate carcinoma did not change (χ2=5.0, P=0.080). In the few bone metastases group, the proportion of metastatic sternum lesions of breast carcinoma was significantly higher than that of prostate carcinoma (17.9 vs. 1.7%, χ2=12.7, P=0.000).
