BON1 cells (A and D) or CNDT cells (B and E) or BxPC3 cells (C) were exposed to rottlerin at a sub-optimal concentration (10 μM). Cells exposed to vehicle (DMSO) alone served as controls. At the indicated time points, cell numbers were estimated by MTS assays or enumeration of viable cells. In the cultures depicted in panels A, B and C, media was not changed. In the cultures depicted in panels D and E, fresh media containing the PKCδ inhibitor was replaced after 72 hr of exposure (arrows). Error bars represent SEM.
