(A) Five micrograms of JFH-1 subgenomic replicon RNA was electroporated into HuH-7T1 and Huh-7.5.1. The cells were harvested at indicated time points. The luciferase activity in the cell lysates was normalized to the data at 4 h after transfection; values are expressed as fold increases. (B and C) Comparison of transfection and translation efficiencies. Five micrograms of JFH-1/GND-Luc RNA was transfected into HuH-7T1 and Huh-7.5.1. The cells were harvested at 4 h after transfection, and the amount of transfected RNA in cells (B) and luciferase activity in the cell lysates (C) were measured.
