Half-lives and rate constants were determined at −60 °C in the presence of 500 equivalents Me2Im in MeOH. Spectral changes at λmax = 770 nm for 5(b) and 695 nm for [FeIV(O)(N4Py)]2+ were monitored. Half-lives and rate constants were averaged from at least 3 separate determinations, the standard deviation was < 10% of the reported values.

DHT = 1-methyl-1,4-cyclohexadiene, P(Me)(Ph)2 = Methyldiphenylphosphine, Fc = ferrocene.
