NU/NU mice were inoculated subcutaneously with 1× 106 tumor cells/mouse and the tumors were allowed to grow to 200 mm3. 10 mg/kg oxaliplatin was administered by intraperitoneal injection and 10 mg/kg Mapa was treated by intratumoral injection and tumors were immersed in a water bath at 42°C for 1 h. (A) Photograph of representative tumor bearing mouse from each group 12 days after treatment. (B) Tumor growth curve. Error bars represent standard error of the mean from five mice. * or ** represents a statistically significant difference compared with the control group at P<0.05 or P<0.01, respectively. (C) Tumor tissues were harvested at day 12 after treatment and subjected to TUNEL assay to detect apoptosis. Cell nuclei were stained with DAPI. Representative images were shown.
