Infection with RSV mutant viruses lacking NS1 or NS2 genes induced more expression of let-7i or miR-30b than did infection with wild-type virus. NHBE cells were inoculated at an MOI of 0.5 with wild-type RSV (wt A2) or RSV with NS1 (A2 ΔNS1) or NS2 (A2 ΔNS2) deleted, and RNA was harvested 48 h later. let-7i (A) or miR-30b (B) was assayed by real-time PCR.
