No currents were recorded with 100 µM intracellular Ca²⁺ from non-transfected cells (A) and from cells transfected only with GFP (B). CHO-K1 cells transfected with SlitBest1b and GFP did not exhibit any current when recorded with a 20 nM intracellular Ca²⁺ solution (C) whereas with a 100 µM intracellular Ca²⁺ solution an inward current was elicited (D). Recording were made at −60 mV holding potential. Arrows indicate the transition from cell-attached to whole-cell configuration. Dotted horizontal lines are zero current levels.
