Whole-cell currents were activated by dialysis with 10 µM free Ca2+ and recorded in bath solutions containing either 125 mM NaCl or 125 mM of the substituting NaX. A) Anion relative permeabilities P X/P Cl were calculated using the Goldman–Hodgkin–Katz equation from measured differences in E rev between symmetrical Cl and bianionic conditions. B) Relative slope conductances G X/G Cl were obtained from the measurement of the slope of the I-V relationships between −80 and +80 mV. Four replicates for each condition were obtained.
