Fig 5 — Effect of suppression of the nonhomologous end joining (NHEJ) pathway on the expression of genes involved in homologous recombination (HR). Seven-day-old seedlings of rice (Oryza sativa) wild-type, KD-Ku70, KD-Ku80 and KD-Lig4 seedlings were treated with water containing 5 μM bleomycin and incubated for 12 h in the growth chamber. Quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) analysis of OsRad51A2 (a) and OsBRCA1 (b) transcripts in control, KD-Ku70, KD-Ku80 and KD-Lig4. Relative transcript levels were normalized to OsAct1 mRNA. Error bars represent ± SD of three individual experiments.
