Phase-2 EAD (filled square) is noted at the long APD site, while phase-3 EAD (unfilled square) was detected at the boundary zone between the long and short APD sites. The sites where systolic SCaEs (red arrow) are observed correspond to the long APD sites. Note that VK-II-36 (30 μM) abolished the systolic SCaE and phase-2 EAD, resulting in a marked reduction of repolarization heterogeneity.
