* Model 1: Adjusted for body mass index, smoking (non/ex/daily smoking), family history of T2DM and physical activity (sedentary/moderate/active).

Model 2: Adjusted for body mass index, smoking (non/ex/daily smoking), family history of T2DM, physical activity (sedentary/moderate/active), C-reactive protein, systolic blood pressure and triglycerides.

Model 3: Adjusted for body mass index, smoking (non/ex/daily smoking), family history of T2DM, physical activity (sedentary/moderate/active), C-reactive protein, systolic blood pressure and triglycerides, fasting glucose level and 2 hour capillary glucose level.

Natural logarithm transformation was used for C-reactive protein, triglycerides, tPA, PAI-1, tPA/PAI-1 complex and VWF.
