| Ensure that facilitators have broad knowledge of course content. |
| Develop actionable goals for active engagement in the discussion and presentation. |
| Determine if the goal of the discussion group is depth or breadth of a topic. This can guide frequency and number of meetings of the group. |
| Define both process and product goals. An end product helps to focus the discussion but the discussion itself is valuable for networking and engaging with the course material. |
