Keratinocytes were cultured in low-calcium conditions (−Ca) and collected before reaching confluency or cultured at confluency for 24 h in the presence of 0.3 mm and 1.2 mm calcium (+Ca). (B) Real-time RT–PCR on RNA isolated from human keratinocytes from AEC patients and from controls.
