The regional cross-covariances are computed from time series extracted from the MD seed and visual cortex (V1), MT, SM, and FEF during fixation and eyes closed. For negative lags, the regional time courses lead MD. Cross-covariances show marked effects of resting state type, being larger, broader, and more complex during eyes closed than during fixation.
