Catalse (CAT) activity of PC12 cells exposed to PC or 0–100 μmol/L PCOOH. After incubation in the presence of PC or PCOOH, a phosphate buffer, methanol, H₂O₂, and distilled water were mixed. Then, the mixed solution, sample protein, and a phosphate buffer were incubated for 20 min, and Purpald was added. The mixture was incubated for 20 min. Finally, potassium periodate was added, and the absorbance was measured at 550 nm. Data are experiments as percent of the control; the mean value was obtained from six experiments. The data represent the means ± SD. ^#p < 0.01 compared with the control value.
