Percentage mean ± standard deviation (SD) base-pairs in xenopus H-strand protein-coding genes. Skew (or “asymmetry”) between base-pairs was calculated as follows: GC skew = (G – C)/total(GC) and AT skew = (A – T)/total(AT).
