Protein-soaked beads were surgically placed into St.-10 chicken embryos. Affi-Gel Blue beads previously soaked in BMP-2, BMP-4, SHH-N, or PBS were surgically placed into the rostral head mesenchyme of HH 10 chicken embryos (arrow).
