TRAV use by Tg4 CTLA-4WT and Tg4 CTLA-4KO T cells. RT-PCR analysis for each of 20 TRAV families was performed to determine relative expression levels. (A) CD4SPCD25⁻ Tconv cells and CD4SPCD25⁺ Treg cells were FACS-sorted and pooled from the thymi of six Tg4 CTLA-4WT or three Tg4 CTLA-4KO females ages 7–9 wk. (B) CD4⁺CD25⁻ Tconv cells or CD4⁺CD25⁺ Treg cells were magnetically isolated and pooled from the spleens of three Tg4 CTLA-4WT or two Tg4 CTLA-4KO males ages 7–9 wk.
