Selective depletion of IM results in the loss of the PPS14-specific IgM and IgG, but not PspA-specific IgG, response to intact R614 in chimeric mice. CD11b-DTR BM-chimeric mice (seven mice per group) with or without injection of DT 24 h earlier were immunized i.p. with R614 (2 × 108 CFU/mouse in saline). DT was administered every 2 to 3 d for the duration of the experiment. Mice were boosted with R614 on day 14 in a similar manner. Serum titers of Ag-specific IgM and IgG were measured by ELISA.
