The virus strains have a first letter r- to indicate recombinant strains were generated by reverse genetics. bVaccine strain rNVI-15TT was generated by serial passage of rNVI-15TA and rNVI-15PT was similarly generated through passage of rNVI-15PA, both on CHSE-214 cells (see Materials and Methods for details).
