Hypothermia increases liver tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-6 but does not alter lung or brain cytokines. Juvenile mice were treated with lipopolysaccharide 1 μg/g and chlorpromazine 15 μg/g and rectal temperature targeted at 32°C (filled circles, n = 8) or 37°C (open circles, n = 8).
