Efficacy of niclosamide in protecting G. mellonella larvae from P. aeruginosa killing. The Kaplan-Meier plot shows the survival of G. mellonella larvae inoculated with a lethal dose of P. aeruginosa PA14 (10 ± 4 exponentially growing cells) in 10 μl of saline supplemented or not with 750 μM niclosamide ethanolamine salt and then incubated at 28°C. All untreated larvae died within 60 h postinfection, while G. mellonella killing was almost completely prevented upon treatment with the niclosamide ethanolamine salt. χ^2₍₁₎ = 61.07; P = 0.0000 (log-rank).
