E1A-13S colocalizes with endogenous PML in infected cells. Human hepatocytes (HepaRG) were infected with wild-type (H5pg4100) or mutant (H5dl347, H5dl348, H5pm4149, and H5pm4150) viruses at a multiplicity of 50 FFU/cell and fixed with 4% PFA at 24 h p.i. The cells were extracted with cytoskeleton buffer prior to fixation and double labeled with MAb M-58 (α-E1A) and PAb NB 100-59787 (α-PML). Detection of primary Abs and nuclear staining were performed as for Fig. 1. Representative α-E1A (red) (c, g, k, o, s, and w) and α-PML (green) (b, f, j, n, r, and v) staining patterns of at least 50 analyzed cells are shown.
