Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data are collected from a subject, yielding a time series for each gray matter voxel in the cerebrum. The correlation values between each voxel are calculated to produce a correlation matrix. A threshold is applied to the correlation matrix to create an adjacency matrix, where all values surviving the threshold are set to 1. This adjacency matrix defines the links present in the functional brain network.
