Incorporation of 8-oxo-dGTP and extension by pol III* with or without β clamp under running start conditions. The 30-mer primer/100-mer streptavidin bound template (sequences 2, 20 nM) were incubated with pol III* (10 nM) with or without β clamp (100 nM) in the presence of indicated dNTPs (100 μM each) for 1 min at 25°C. The samples were analysed by denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and visualized by the Molecular Imager.
