EOBI Interacts with and Activates IGS and PAL Promoters.

(A) Arabidopsis protoplasts transformed with 35S-driven EOBI (35S_pro:EOBI) together with DsRed driven by the petunia IGS promoter (IGS_pro:DsRed) ([a] to [c]) or with 35S_pro:EOBI together with DsRed driven by the PAL promoter (PAL_pro:DsRed) ([d] to [f]). As controls, protoplasts were transformed with IGS_pro:DsRed or PAL_pro:DsRed together with cucumber MYBYS driven by the 35S promoter (35S_pro:MYBYS) ([g] to [i] and [j] to [l], respectively) or with 35S_pro:CFP ([m] to [o] and [p] to [r], respectively). Yeast transformed with IGS_pro:GLacZi or PAL_pro:GLacZi together with empty, EOBI-lacking pD22 (top and bottom right panels, respectively) were used as controls.
