Colocalization between mGlu7a and mGlu8a receptors on the large dendrite of a neuron located adjacent to the main ITC nucleus. The immunoreactivity for mGlu7a (shown in red) appears widespread whereas the immunoreactivity for mGlu8a (shown in green) is much more restricted and primarily decorates large dendrites. The insert shows a portion of a dendrite at higher magnification. The arrow indicates a bouton labelled for both receptors, whereas the arrowheads point to boutons labelled only for mGlu7a or mGlu8a.
