Effects of C/EBPδ expression on LPS-induced activity of the C/EBP-luciferase (A), TNF-α–luciferase (B), and IL-6–luciferase (C) in alveolar macrophage cells. MH-S cells were transiently transfected with a total of 0.5 μg of the indicated DNAs. At 24 hours after transfection, the cells were challenged with the indicated stimulus for 4 hours. Cell lysates were used for luciferase activity assays. Luminometer values were normalized for expression from a cotransfected thymidine kinase reporter gene.
