Hypothesis search space of genes. Reduction of the hypothesis search space of genes involved in our specific biological issue (symbolised by the red circle). This search space corresponds to 1155 genes: 806 Pfam homologs from the 21 subcorpuses, among which 80 specific to the Pfam database and 726 shared with HomoloGene. The extra group of 349 genes corresponds to the homologs identified by HomoloGene but with no Pfam equivalent within the 21 subcorpuses (details in Tables 1 and 2).
