Sorcin decreases cytochrome c release induced by hyperglycemia. Western blot shows protein levels of cytochrome c in the cytosolic fraction in normal glucose (NG, 5.5 mM), high glucose (HG, 25 mM), and HG + Adv-sorcin (HG + Sor). NG- and HG-treated cells received an empty adenovirus as control.
