Fiber CSA of type-identified DIAm fibers in control DIAm and following 42 days of SH-induced DIAm inactivity. The CSA of type I and IIa DIAm fibers did not differ between control (n = 9) and SH (n = 12) groups (one-way ANOVA; P ≥ 0.806 for all fiber type classifications). However, there was a modest decrease in the CSA of type IIx and/or IIb DIAm fibers 42 days post-SH compared with control (one-way ANOVA; P = 0.023).
