The frequency of CD4+ T helper type 17 (Th17) cells in peripheral blood is significantly higher in paediatric patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) compared with healthy controls. The frequencies of Th17 in peripheral blood were examined by flow cytometry from paediatric patients with CHB (n = 65) and healthy controls (n = 9).
