Passage 8 keratinocytes were coinfected with Ad/HPV16/eGFP and Ad/Cre or Ad/HPV/eGFP alone. On the indicated days, total cellular DNA was isolated. The number of viral genomes per cell was calculated by completing quantitative PCR on identical quantities of cellular DNA. The values indicate the average of samples run in triplicate. Similar results were obtained on samples from a repeated experiment. ND, not done because the cells infected only with Ad/HPV16/eGFP, senesced, and could not be passed.
