Three groups of ad libitum fed mice (n = 10–11 per group) received a 13 day infusion of saline or 60 or 120 nmol kg⁻¹ h⁻¹ PK2. Two further groups of mice also received saline but were pair fed to the PK2-treated groups. Fasting plasma glucose, insulin and leptin were measured on day 14. ^*P < 0.05, ^**P < 0.01 versus saline.
