Expression of prepro-ET-1 (ppET-1), -2 and -3 (A) and ET-A and ET-B receptors (B) in MRC-5 and primary (phLFb) human lung fibroblasts. Cells were grown in presence of 10% FCS in 35 mm culture dishes to confluency. Either total RNA was isolated, treated with DNase and used for quantitative real-time PCR with primers specific for the respective human sequences or proteins were extracted and used for immunoblot analysis using commercially available antibodies against ET-A and ET-B receptor protein (C).
