The residues that form the groove are labeled on the surface representation of the molecule. The cysteine residue (C109) in the catalytic triad is colored red, and the histidine (H215) is colored blue. As in the other known NlpC/P60 structures, the glutamine residue (Q230) is buried. Residues that form the active site are colored salmon red, and indicated by single amino acid code and number.
