Infectivity was measured in a single-cycle assay using TZM-bl indicator cells (Derdeyn et al., 2000; Platt et al., 1998; Wei et al., 2002). WT infectivity was set at 100%. Three independent experiments were performed. The data shown are from a representative experiment, in which each sample was assayed in triplicate.
